Building together
You’ve got ideas, demos, or half-finished songs, but want another creative brain in the room.
recording you
The songs are written. You know what you want. Now it’s about getting the best performances.
mixing your sound
You’ve already recorded everything and need a fresh set of ears.
Sometimes a band walks in with demos, references, and a clear vision.
Sometimes it’s just one idea, a guitar, and a song that’s still figuring itself out.
Either way, that’s the fun part.
Some artists want another creative voice in the room. Others exactly know where they’re headed and just need someone to help them get there.
I’m comfortable with both.
My goal isn’t to make your record sound like something I’ve already made.
It’s to help make the version you’ve been hearing in your head.
I don’t have a formula for making records.
I just try to figure out what each song needs.
how it works
1
You reach out. Send me a demo, a rough recording, a voice memo, whatever you have. I’ll listen to it.
2
After that, we talk. Could be a beer, could be a Zoom call, could be a phone call. I ask a lot of questions. What’s your deadline? How many songs? What’s your budget? How much do you want me in the songs versus just behind the board? I ask because every project is different and I want to know what you actually need, not what I assume you need.

If it feels right, we carve out some dates and get to work.

Four ways we can collaborate.
How we work
best if...
what i'm doing
Build It Together
You’ve got ideas, demos, or half-finished songs, but want another creative brain in the room.
We shape arrangements, experiment, cut what isn’t working, and build the record together from the ground up. Think of me as another bandmate who’s focused on making the song stronger.
Capture the Record
The songs are written. You know what you want. Now it’s about getting the best performances.
I’ll help dial in sounds, coach performances when needed, and make production decisions that support the song, not distract from it.
Just Hit Record
Your band already knows exactly how it should sound. You just need someone to capture it honestly.
I’ll get the room, microphones, and session ready so you can focus on playing. Then I’ll stay out of the way and let the music happen.
Mix It
You’ve already recorded everything and need a fresh set of ears.
Send me the session files. I’ll organize the chaos, find what’s important, and build a mix that feels clear, balanced, and true to the song.
HEADING WOW
Wow so much cool text amazing sales wohoo!!
What you get
You get approved mixes that you and your band are happy with. We go back and forth until it’s right. I send rough mixes as MP3s so you can listen and react. The final approved mixes come as WAV files.
After that, I will send you all the stems. Every single raw file from the sessions. The kick, the snare, the toms, the overheads, the bass, the guitars, every track. You own all of it. If you ever want to remix the album, make alternate versions, or hand it to someone else, everything is yours.
I back everything up on four separate drives plus cloud storage. Nothing gets lost.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Do you master records too?
I can, but I don’t master my own mixes.
By the time I’ve mixed a record, I’ve lived with those songs for a while. At that point, I think it’s important to hand them to someone with fresh ears. They’ll catch things I won’t.
I usually send my mixes to Brian Wallace in California because I trust his work. If you’ve already got a mastering engineer you love, that’s great too.
2. How much does it cost?
It depends on the project.
A three-song EP is very different from a thirteen-song album, and every artist needs something a little different. I’d rather have a conversation than put a number on a website that probably won’t fit your project anyway.
If you’ve got an idea of what you’re working on, get in touch, and we’ll figure it out together.
3. Can we work remotely?
Absolutely.
If you’ve already recorded your tracks, send me the session files or stems, and I’ll take it from there. I mix a lot of projects this way.
If you’re not sure what files to send, don’t worry. I’ll walk you through it.
4. I am not based in Portland. Will you travel for a project?
Absolutely.
My studio is in Portland, Oregon, but I’m happy to work wherever the project makes sense. I’ve recorded in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Belgium, and I’d love to add a few more places to that list.
If you’ve got a studio you love, let’s make it work.
5. I’ve never worked with a producer before. What should I expect?
A relaxed room and good conversation.
I’ll take care of the microphones, routing, session setup, and everything technical behind the scenes. You don’t need to think about compressors, EQ, or what reverb we’re using.
Your job is to make music.
Mine is to make sure you can focus on that.
6. What if my songs aren’t finished yet?
That’s completely fine.
Some artists come in with finished arrangements. Others show up with voice memos and half-written ideas. I’ve worked both ways, and I genuinely enjoy helping songs find their shape.
7. Will you tell us when something isn’t working?
Yes.
If I think another take was stronger, I’ll tell you why. If I think a part could be simpler, I’ll say so.
But I’m never trying to make your music sound like mine.
The goal is to make the strongest version of your record.
8. What if I don’t know all the technical stuff?
Perfect.
You don’t need to.
Whether you’ve made 10 records or this is your first, you don’t have to know which compressor we’re using or how I’m setting up the microphones.
That’s my job.
You just have to show up ready to make music.
Got a question I didn’t answer?
Send me a message. I’m always happy to talk music, hear what you’re working on, or figure out whether we’d be a good fit.
